{"id":2523,"date":"2013-07-08T07:00:20","date_gmt":"2013-07-08T11:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/golfstinks.com\/blog\/?p=2523"},"modified":"2013-07-08T08:49:35","modified_gmt":"2013-07-08T12:49:35","slug":"why-i-dont-bet-on-golf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/golfstinks.com\/blog\/2013\/07\/why-i-dont-bet-on-golf.html","title":{"rendered":"Why I Don&#8217;t Bet On Golf"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/ts2.mm.bing.net\/th?id=H.4942301512861657&amp;pid=1.7&amp;w=257&amp;h=175&amp;c=7&amp;rs=1\" width=\"257\" height=\"175\" \/>I really can&#8217;t afford to do it, but I sometimes can&#8217;t help myself.\u00a0 I like to bet on things.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know about anyone else, but the prospect of winning a few extra dollars makes any game more interesting.\u00a0 It&#8217;s one of the many reasons I enjoy fantasy football.\u00a0 But I like to bet on the games themselves, get into pools, draw horses names from a hat for the Kentucky Derby&#8230;whatever.\u00a0 And not just on sports either &#8211;\u00a0a co-worker is pregnant, let&#8217;s start a baby pool!\u00a0 But there&#8217;s one sport that I&#8217;ve never bet on and I&#8217;m just not sure I ever will &#8211; golf.<\/p>\n<p>Is it me, or is golf just too hard to bet on.\u00a0 For me, there&#8217;s two reasons this is the case: 1. In\u00a0the bigger tournaments where the superstars are, the odds are always crappy.\u00a0\u00a0You have to put down way too much money to win anything significant.\u00a0 2.
